OUR LADY OF FATIMA CHURCH

This site has been launched on the occassion of 43rd World Communications Day celebrated on 15th November 2009.
Our Lady of Fatima Church is situated off the Ghodbunder Road at the Majiwada Junction.
Around a thousand families reside in this parish which is divided into 24 Small Christian Communities. Voluntary Church organizations, cells and groups such as Sodality, SVP, Senior Citizens Group, HR Cell, Family Cell, Communications Cell, Prison Ministry, Choir, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Social Justice Cell, Legion of Mary, Pre-baptismal Catechesis Team, Lector’s Ministry, Sunday School Teachers and Bombay Catholic Sabha work in assigned areas to support the Priest in Charge in Church functions. A Parish Pastoral Council and an Executive Committee perform the consultative function in administrative duties of the Parish. Other committees such as the Finance Committee, Cemetery Committee are appointed to assist the Priest in Charge.
This site is launched with the purpose of providing a platform for communication between the church and the faithful. The communications cell is committed to keep this site updated with the current information for the benefit of the faithful and others who wish to know about our parish and it's activities
Events, projects, activities that are performed by the various organization, cells and groups will be reported through written reports as well as through photograph. Whenever an activity of significant importance is carried out, it is expected that a brief report alongwith a few digital images is sent to the communications cell for updating the same on the site. The communication cell may also be kept informed in advance of such activities so that a few photographs could be taken by the assigned photograph. The communication cell will have the right to edit and reject the information if it compromises or is insulting in nature. It must be understood that restrictions on available space will be a constraint to upload withing permissible limits.
We look forward to providing the parishioners important information that they need to know to be involved in the multifarious activities of the parish.
